When flowers bloom

It is spring
And the other has bloomed
While you stayed a bud
And thinking

"Will I ever be like them?"

And the answer is because
This is not yet your season
So when others bloom
You don't

Yet

You still need to wait for a while
You need to focus on yourself

For when your season comes
You will not just bloom
You will flourish
And show the world

How beautiful
You are.

I used to compare myself to others and think about "when" will I be like them or if I ever will be like them.

But the more I compare, the more I feel that I never will be. And it can't be more accurate than that.

Different seasons for different flowers

Violets, lilacs, and peonies in spring. Roses, daisies, and bergamot in the summer.

Just like flowers, we have our own time to bloom. Maybe it's still summer, and you are an azalea, or it's spring, but you're a winter lily?

No matter how much you want to bloom, you won't – because it's not your time yet. So take it easy and don't rush yourself; you will be there one day.

What you do in the meantime

Despite being in the right season, sometimes flowers fail to bloom. Flowers need to be nurtured and taken care of to flourish.

Water it too much, and it will rot. Not watering enough will make it wilt. There are similarities to that in our life.

Work too hard, and you'll get burnt out. Do nothing, and you'll live a bleak life. That shows how much we need to be in the right environment and spend just enough time and effort to be the best version of ourselves.

It's never good to do too much. It's never good to do too little.

Do just enough.

Just enough time and effort

The next time you think about how your life is dull compared to your friends, remember that maybe it's not your time to bloom yet.

And what you can do now is to focus on yourself and prepare for your blooming season.

It's not easy. But it's not impossible.

I hope you find this post inspiring.

And whenever life feels too much, remember:

It's not going to be easy,
But it's not impossible.

Brian.
